Hi, I’m Sam & I started SeasprayCove in 2020. It was born out of my love for Cornwall as well as my passion for jewellery. My father’s family were all Cornish & I have spent many holidays as a child beach-combing & helping my grandparents in their B&B called Seaspray, back in the day. That holidaying tradition continues with our own, now grown up, children who feel as much at home there as we do.

I work with recycled sterling silver & sea glass collected from our wonderful UK beaches, creating individual pieces organically. I make & hand polish all of my jewellery from my workbench at home & recently added box pictures & cards to my collection, making sure that everything gets used & nothing goes to waste.

I absolutely love sitting down with a blank canvas, so to speak & seeing what it becomes- there is never really a plan! I enjoy working with silver clay too. Nothing is more exciting than the process of a putty coloured mass becoming a polished, fine silver piece of jewellery- it's pure alchemy!

Working with sea glass adds a different dynamic & can be challenging as it is not uniformed, but taking something tumbled by nature & re-purposing it for many more years of enjoyment, has meant I have definitely found my happy place!

I sell my jewellery at local markets & Arts Trails in & around Caversham & you can follow me on Instagram, just punch in seaspraycove

Thanks for taking the time to find out a little about me & please get in touch if you would like to chat about anything.
